  • can be used where redrivers fail to get stable gen4 links
  • can be used to give some of my slimsas device adapters and cables a second life with gen5 devices in some, but not all combinations
  • gen5 performance can not be guranteed - MCIO is prefered for gen5
  • comes with an USB to i2c programming tool (one piece per order!)
  • can work in x16, x8x8 , x8x4x4 and x4x4x4x4x modes
  • lane mode needs to be configured via the USB to i2c tool - default is x16
  • lane mode needs to match your BIOS setting! This is NOT a PCIe switch
